Maple Walnut/Pecan Scones

from $30.00

Maple syrup season is that moment in early spring when the grounds are still covered in snow, but the sun starts to strengthen, and the flowers awaken from their winter slumber. The days are longer, and ground is soggy, and the smell of cooking sap floods the air.

It’s quite a lovey time in New England, and getting to a local sugar shack to get freshly made maple syrup makes the long winter not seem so terrible. As our children grew up in the New England skiing circuit, we would always stop at some Mom and Pop sugar shack along the side of the back roads of New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine and get a gallon of the good, dark, flavorful deep amber liquid gold.

These fluffy Maple Walnut or Pecan Scones, made with local New England maple syrup and dotted with chopped walnuts or pecans, then slathered in a thick maple glaze that tastes like melted maple candy, are pure New England scrumptiousness.

Choose either walnuts or pecans - both are equally delicious!

Available year round.

Makes 24 scones.

Allergens: milk, wheat, eggs, nut (walnuts)
