Flintstone Cookies **
March 7th is National Cereal Day, and what better way to celebrate than with a cookie made with one of the most delightful sugar cereals ever made… Fruity Pebbles!
If you’re anything like me, you have have at one point of another wondered how on Earth this cereal became associated with the Flintstones cartoon characters, and lo and behold, Post’s website holds that answer:
Pebbles cereal was “Launched in 1971 after Post secured licensing rights from Hanna-Barbera, PEBBLES™ cereal was the first brand ever created around a TV show character. One of the most revered cartoons of all time, “The Flintstones” aired on prime-time television from 1960 to 1966, and the characters have returned in countless specials and films. The cereal was named for Fred and Wilma Flintstone’s daughter Pebbles.” (https://www.postconsumerbrands.ca/brand/pebbles/products/)
A fun fact - those fun cartoon characters couldn’t sell their wares in Canada until recently based on Canadian law. Go Canada! You can now enjoy one of my favorite processed sugar treats!!
This cereal may or may not have been one of the reasons I gained a few pounds my freshman year in college…another fun fact, they go really well on vanilla soft serve. Just sayin’.
This cookie is a sugar cereal lover’s delight! LOADED with Fruity Pebbles cereal, and then lovingly rolled in them before baking, and studded with white chocolate chips, this soft centered cookie has a fun crunch from the cereal and oddly, not too freakishly sweet overall taste.
What does it taste like, you ask? Pure happiness.
Isn’t that everything you’ve ever asked for, anyways?
You receive a Baker’s Dozen (13) 4+ ounce cookies that will easily freeze. Just take them out of the freezer, thaw them to room temp, and sit back and watch an episode of The Flintstones, smiling like you’re a kid on vacation.
Allergens: wheat, eggs, milk, soy, nuts (coconut oil)
Available for local pickup or delivery, and nationwide shipping.
